59% of Ukrainians trust President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, while 35% do not trust him. The trust–distrust balance stands at +24%. This is evidenced by the results of a sociological survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).

Among the 59% who trust Zelensky, 26% fully trust him, and 33% rather trust him. Among the 35% who do not trust the president, 23% do not trust him at all, while 12% rather do not trust him.

Sociologists note that in early October 2025 the trust indicators were almost identical, meaning that overall, by the end of December, the level of trust in the president remained unchanged.

At the same time, as noted, trust indicators for the president are very dynamic and depend on the agenda. Among respondents surveyed on November 26–30, 49% trusted Zelensky, while among respondents surveyed on December 1–13, 63% trusted him.

However, among respondents surveyed on December 14–29, 55% expressed trust in Zelensky.

“Thus, overall, it can be seen that the president lost about 10% of trust after the publication of information about corruption in the energy sector; however, later, against the backdrop of the international situation (peace negotiations), we see another round of ‘rallying around the flag’ and an increase in trust in the president. At the same time, by the end of December, the strength of such ‘rallying’ somewhat weakened, and there was rather a tendency toward a slight decline in trust”, - the study results state.

At the same time, sociologists note that by the end of 2025 the level of trust in the president is higher than at the end of 2024.

The survey was conducted from November 26 to December 29, 2025, using telephone interviews based on a random sample of mobile phone numbers. A total of 1,001 respondents were surveyed. The survey was conducted among adult (aged 18 and over) citizens of Ukraine who, at the time of the survey, were residing in territory controlled by the government of Ukraine. Residents of territories temporarily not controlled by the authorities of Ukraine were not included in the sample.
