"The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine warns about the continuation of the kremlin’s special operation aimed at derailing peace negotiations mediated by the United States. This operation is comprehensive in nature. After the so-called ‘attack on putin’s residence’, we are recording the kremlin’s dissemination of new fabricated informational pretexts to prepare both russian and foreign audiences for further escalation", - the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine reported on January 2.
Intelligence officers, with a high degree of probability, predict a transition from manipulative influence to an armed provocation by the enemy special services with significant human casualties.
"The expected timeframe is on the eve of or during the celebration of Christmas according to the Julian calendar. The location of the provocation may be a religious site or another facility with high symbolic significance both in russia and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine", - the statement says.
To falsify evidence of Ukraine’s involvement, it is planned to use fragments of Western-made strike UAVs, which will be delivered to the site of the provocation from the line of combat contact.
"The exploitation of fear and the commission of terrorist acts with human casualties under a ‘false flag’ fully corresponds to the working style of the russian special services. Putin’s regime has repeatedly used this tactic within russia, and now this same model is being exported beyond the country, which is indirectly confirmed by public statements by senior russian officials", - the intelligence notes.
