"Kharkiv was attacked with KABs (guided bombs). Explosions were heard in the suburbs and in the city itself. According to preliminary information, the strike hit the Shevchenkivskyi district", - Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported on Telegram at 15:56 on December 26.
Later, he reported that the hit occurred on one of the busiest highways in Kharkiv — several cars are burning, windows were blown out in nearby buildings. There were people inside the burning cars. The number of wounded and killed is being clarified.
“At this moment, one person is known to have been killed and three wounded, one of them in serious condition. Apartment buildings and private houses located near the impact site were damaged”, - Terekhov reported at 16:13.
“There is information about a second fatality. At this moment, two people have been killed and four others wounded as a result of a KAB strike on Kharkiv”, - Terekhov added at 16:42.
