“Agents of ‘ATESH’ in military hospitals in Crimea and Donetsk have uncovered a systemic mechanism of coercion used by the command of the Armed Forces of the russian federation and corrupt military medical commissions. Instead of being discharged for health reasons, wounded russian soldiers are being mass-returned to the front — primarily to the Zaporizhzhia direction”, - the partisan movement “ATESH” said in a statement, citing data from its agents.
According to the movement, the command of russian troops, in collusion with corrupt military medical commissions, is mass-returning wounded soldiers to the combat zone instead of carrying out health-based discharge as required by law, mainly to the Zaporizhzhia direction. Even servicemen with severe wounds and concussions are deprived of the opportunity to undergo proper rehabilitation.
One such case, according to “ATESH,” recently occurred in Simferopol. A russian serviceman with multiple shrapnel wounds, a severe concussion, and partial hearing loss faced an ultimatum directly in the hospital. He was offered either to “voluntarily” sign a new contract, which supposedly gave a ghostly chance to avoid immediate deployment to the front line, or to be sent straight to an assault unit without undergoing rehabilitation.
According to the movement, under conditions of harsh psychological pressure and threats of being sent on effectively deadly missions, the serviceman was forced to sign. “ATESH” emphasizes that such cases demonstrate that, for russia, a soldier’s health condition is irrelevant — the only priority is reporting figures.
