“As a result of overnight strikes on the energy infrastructure of the Donetsk oblast, as of this morning households in the region are completely without electricity”, - the Ministry of Energy reported on December 16.
It is noted that emergency repair work has begun, however repairs in front-line areas are complicated by constant shelling. Despite the danger, energy workers are working around the clock.
The Kramatorsk City Council reports that overnight russian troops carried out air strikes on Kramatorsk.
“Two hits by FAB-250 with guided modules on residential infrastructure facilities were recorded. The first hit occurred in a five-story residential building — the aerial bomb struck the roof of the building. Rescuers and police оперативно inspected the building and helped residents get out of blocked apartments. Fortunately, there were no fatalities... As a result of the explosion, 11 apartment buildings, vehicles, trade facilities, and engineering communications were also damaged. The second hit was recorded in the private sector. At least four private houses were damaged — facades, roofs, windows, as well as adjacent communications. In addition, another hit (the type of munition is being determined) struck an educational institution; windows were also blown out in surrounding houses”, - the statement said.
Specialists from the civil protection department are inspecting the damaged buildings and, together with charitable organizations, are preparing to provide materials for priority repairs.
