“We want peace. We do not want a ceasefire to give Ukraine a break and prepare for continuing the war”, - the kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on December 16, responding to a question about how russia regards Ukraine’s proposal for a Christmas ceasefire, the BBC reports.
It is noted that russia has repeatedly refused proposals for temporary truces or ceasefires.
“We want to stop this war, achieve our goals, secure our interests, and guarantee peace in Europe for the future”, - Peskov added.
