“A unit of the Special Operations Forces, in cooperation with the insurgent movement ‘Black Spark’, carried out a special operation during which two russian vessels transporting weapons and military equipment were hit”, - the SOF statement says.
It is noted that representatives of the insurgent movement provided detailed information about the route and cargo of the targeted vessels.
Among the vessels hit were the “Composer Rachmaninov” and the “Askar-Saridja”, which are used by russia for military purposes and are under U.S. sanctions for participating in the transport of military cargo between Iran and russia.
