“The lack of precipitation led to the reserve reservoirs being used up earlier than planned”, - Denis Pushilin said during his Direct Line Q&A session.

He also confirmed that it is still not possible everywhere to maintain the schedules for water delivery and supply. “But work is being carried out daily”, the “DNR” leader once again promised. According to him, one of the pipelines will be completed in December–January, after which “there will be a noticeable improvement in water supply” in the south of the occupied part of the Donetsk oblast. Pushilin assured that Donetsk and Makiivka will also receive more water in January.

He did not clarify where the water will come from through the newly built pipelines if the reservoirs are empty.

As previously reported, against the backdrop of water shortages in the occupied Donetsk oblast, the authorities are considering the option of filling the water systems with treated mine water.
