“I spoke today with the President of Finland and we continue coordinating. I informed him about yesterday’s work of our delegation in America: everything was very constructive. There are difficult things that still need work”, - President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on social media on December 1 after a phone call with Finland’s President Alexander Stubb.
“Our representatives will return to Europe in the coming days, and after speaking with them and receiving a complete report on the progress of the negotiations, we will determine our further actions. For today, negotiations with our friends in Europe are planned. It will be a very substantive day. Diplomacy, defense, energy — the priorities are clear. Thanks to everyone who helps!”, - Zelensky emphasized.
The day before, on November 30, Zelensky also spoke with the President of Finland. They discussed “various aspects of russia’s position and assessments of the existing diplomatic prospects”.
Alexander Stubb is considered a politician who “has an approach” to U.S. President Donald Trump.
