"In 2025, the plan for restoring the road surface in the republic was exceeded twofold… Workers from Uzbekistan are contributing to road construction", - says a report by one of the Donetsk television channels.
It is noted that foreign workers were brought in "thanks to an agreement" between the leader of the so-called "DNR", Denis Pushilin, and the "federal center". Local propagandists insist that the presence of citizens of Uzbekistan in the occupied territory of Ukraine is entirely legal.
"For newcomers to the DNR, a course has been introduced to help migrant workers adapt, where they learned the basics of legislation, as well as the culture and traditions of the region and all of Russia", - the report says.
It was previously reported that the labor shortage caused by russian aggression is contributing to an influx of specialists from the republics of Central Asia into the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk oblast. Local authorities are regularly conducting raids to identify migrants who are considered illegal under russian law.
