"While Volodymyr Zelensky remains the president of Ukraine, he will not agree to give up territories seized by russia in exchange for peace. This was stated by the head of the office of the Ukrainian leader Andriy Yermak", - reports the Telegram channel "The Moscow Times".

"No one should expect us to concede territory. Zelensky will not sign a document on conceding territory. The Constitution forbids this. No one can do it unless they want to go against the Ukrainian Constitution and the Ukrainian people", - Yermak said in an interview with The Atlantic.

According to him, Kyiv is ready to discuss only where the line dividing the territories controlled by the warring sides may pass. “And this is what we need to do”, - added the head of Zelensky’s office.

The report recalls that earlier the U.S. proposed a peace plan in which Crimea, the Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts are de facto recognized as russian, and hostilities in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts should be frozen along the line of contact. At the same time, it was assumed that Ukraine would withdraw its army from the non-occupied part of the Donetsk oblast, which would be declared a neutral demilitarized buffer zone and handed over to russian control. After that, negotiations took place between the U.S. and Ukraine in Geneva, during which Kyiv rejected territorial concessions and two more points of the peace plan: reducing the army to 600,000 service members and refusing to join NATO. Despite this, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that there was progress in negotiations with Ukraine regarding the conditions for ending the war.

As reported, dictator putin said that hostilities in Ukraine will cease when the Armed Forces of Ukraine leave Donbas.
