“Today, repatriation procedures took place. One thousand bodies, which the russian side claims belong to Ukrainian servicemen, have been returned to Ukraine. Investigators of law enforcement agencies together with expert institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will soon carry out all necessary examinations and identification of the repatriated bodies”, - the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War reports.
It is noted that the repatriation procedures were made possible as a result of the joint work of the staff of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, the Joint Center under the Security Service of Ukraine, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Office of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and other structures of Ukraine’s Security and Defense Sector.
