“Today, our meeting with Emmanuel Macron adds effective, practical, strong elements to our defense. Agreements have been prepared, and the corresponding documents on significantly strengthening our defense capabilities are now being signed”, - President Zelensky reported on November 17 on social media, during his visit to Paris.
According to him, Ukraine will be able to receive 100 Rafale F4 aircraft, very powerful French radars, eight SAMP-T air defense systems with six launchers each, and the missiles and guided bombs necessary for our defense.
“This is a strategic agreement that will be in force for 10 years starting next year. This is a historic agreement”, - Zelensky emphasized.
“Today, together with the President of France, we met with representatives of defense companies. We defined the direction of technological cooperation — namely, we will jointly increase the industrial and technological potential of Ukraine and France. We also have another important agreement to purchase 55 new electric locomotives in France — an agreement between our Ukrainian Railways and the French company ALSTOM — and we are determined to continue this direction of cooperation with France”, - Zelensky said.
“We are beginning an important and meaningful path in the sphere of security, and I am absolutely sure that we will be able to achieve the results we need. Thank you, Emmanuel! Thank you, France!” - the President of Ukraine noted.
