"Measures are being carried out to block the enemy, who is attempting to infiltrate and accumulate within the city of Pokrovsk. Active resistance continues against attempts by enemy infantry groups to gain a foothold. In Pokrovsk, Ukraine’s Defense Forces are conducting strike-and-search operations. In particular, assault units of the 425th Separate Assault Regiment, USF operators, combined SSO groups, the Military Law Enforcement Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, and the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine are involved. Military units defending the city have been reinforced", - the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated as of 16:00 on November 5.
It is noted that in just the past 24 hours, our soldiers eliminated 26 occupiers in the Pokrovsk area, with another 64 invaders wounded. A total of 58 enemy infantry shelters in and around the city were destroyed or damaged.
Overall, since the beginning of the week, russian troop losses in the Pokrovsk direction have amounted to: 249 occupiers (159 of them irrecoverable), 7 UAV control points, 26 vehicles and motorcycles, 1 tank, and 1 armored combat vehicle.
At the same time, work continues on strengthening the defensive flanks of the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration and on securing and protecting logistics routes.
"The Dobropillia operation continues. Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian assault units have advanced between 100 and 700 meters in certain areas. In total, as of November 5, 188.9 km² have been liberated, and 249.9 km² have been cleared of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups", - the General Staff report said.
