"The International Register of Damage Caused by the Aggression of the russian federation Against Ukraine has announced the opening of a new claim category — A3.3 ‘Loss of housing or place of residence’. This category is intended for individuals who have lost their home or place of residence — regardless of registration or ownership rights", - reported the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.

It is noted that claims in this category may be submitted in cases of loss of housing or place of residence, including related loss of ordinary personal belongings, as well as expenses incurred to secure new housing or a new place of residence, including relocation costs.

Claims for damage to or destruction of residential real estate must be submitted by the property owners under category A3.1 ‘Damage to or destruction of residential real estate’. Claims regarding personal belongings of exceptional value or rarity may be submitted under category A3.7 ‘Other economic losses’ once that category becomes available for submission.

All claims to the International Register of Damage are submitted through the Diia web portal.

"As of today, the Register of Damage has opened 14 categories of claims, including those related to forced internal displacement, violations of personal integrity, and damage to or destruction of residential and non-residential property", - the Ministry of Justice noted.
