“The court of the russian federation in Tomsk gave a ‘wagnerite’ a suspended sentence for robbing a bank in 2017 — he was found by DNA only seven years later”, - Mediazona reported on November 4.

The outlet clarified that 37-year-old member of the Wagner PMC Alexei Budarin received an eight-year suspended sentence for robbing a Sberbank branch committed back in the spring of 2017. He was found only seven years later — through a DNA match on one of the window frame elements.

“Budarin stole about 7.5 million rubles, nearly 3,200 dollars, and 3,100 euros. Later, he went to fight in Ukraine, where he was wounded and awarded a medal ‘For Courage’. The court considered his participation in the war as a mitigating circumstance and handed down a suspended sentence”, - the report says.
