"Another difficult night for Ukraine. Massive strikes on Odesa and the oblast, on the Kyiv oblast – dozens of drones on peaceful settlements. The enemy is also hitting the Dnipropetrovsk oblast and Zaporizhzhia. Tonight russia carried out a massive strike on the Ukrainian Railways depot in Odesa. A train driver sustained shrapnel wounds. He is receiving all necessary assistance", - said on the morning of October 2 the Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba.
According to him, there were also russian strikes on railway infrastructure in border communities in the north of Ukraine, in particular in Konotop. Trains were stopped at a safe distance from the affected zone, and as of the morning they resumed movement, the contact network was restored.
"Due to the attack, some trains on the Chernihiv and Sumy routes are running with delays. We are doing everything so that even such massive attacks do not stop Ukraine’s transport arteries", - the Deputy Prime Minister stressed.
