"We are currently conducting one of our counteroffensive operations – our guys are doing great – in the Donetsk direction, in the Pokrovsk area, in the Dobropillia area. The fighting is tough, but we have managed to inflict significant losses on russia. Today was the first report from Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi on the results. Since the start of the operation, our warriors have already liberated 160 square kilometers, and more than 170 square kilometers have been cleared of the occupier", - President Zelensky said in a video address recorded in the Donetsk oblast on September 18.
"We have significantly replenished our exchange fund – already nearly a hundred russian POWs, and there will be more. Seven settlements in the direction have been liberated, and nine more cleared of russian presence. Any group of occupiers trying to enter here is destroyed by our soldiers", - the President noted.
According to him, russian losses just since the start of the counteroffensive, only in the Pokrovsk area, only over these weeks – already more than 2,500, of which more than 1,300 russians have been eliminated.
