“Right now rescuers are working in Volochysk in the Khmelnytskyi oblast, where the russians carried out a missile strike on a regular sewing workshop. At the moment, three people are reported injured. This is just one of the sites of today’s massive russian strike: about 415 drones of various types and more than 40 cruise and ballistic missiles. Fifteen of our oblasts were under attack. Unfortunately, as a result of shelling in the Zhytomyr oblast, one person was killed. My condolences to the relatives and loved ones”, — said President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on September 10.
He also commented on the situation with russian drones in Polish airspace:
“Moscow always tests the limits of what is possible, and if it does not encounter a strong reaction, it remains at a new level of escalation. Today there was yet another step of escalation — russian-iranian Shahed UAVs operated in Polish airspace, in NATO airspace. Not a single Shahed, which could be called an accident, but at least 8 strike drones were sent toward Poland. An extremely dangerous precedent for Europe. Whether there will be next steps — it entirely depends on the coordination and strength of the response. The russians must feel the consequences. Russia must understand that the war cannot be expanded, it will have to be ended”, — said the head of state.
According to him, the pause in sanctions has lasted too long:
“Delaying restrictions against russia and its allies only means an intensification of brutal strikes. Enough weapons are needed to contain russia. A strong response is needed, and it can only be a joint response of all partners: Ukraine, Poland, all Europeans, the United States. Thank you to everyone who is helping”, — summed up the president.
As reported earlier, the Polish military acknowledged that the intrusion of russian UAVs is an act of aggression posing a threat to civilians.
