“At 10:40 a.m. there was a hit, approximately with a KAB-250 bomb. It struck exactly where Ukrposhta (Ukrainian Post) was distributing pensions to the population. As of now, 23 people have died and 18 are injured. Their conditions vary. Three are in critical condition, the rest are more or less stable, they were taken to Sloviansk”, - reported Oleksandr Zhuravliov, head of the Lyman City Military Administration, to Suspilne.

According to him, the National Police, State Emergency Service, military personnel, and administration staff continue to work at the impact site to determine the exact number of injured and dead from the strike.

The village in the Lyman community was preliminarily hit by a KAB-250 aerial bomb. Most of the deceased were of retirement age, Zhuravliov said.

“We are now examining every yard around the strike site with police and military”, - said the head of the Military Administration.

The administration plans to change the format of pension and parcel distribution after the russian strike on the mobile post office, he said.

“We weill decide on how Ukrposhta will operate further, because the frontline is already less than 10 kilometers away. We will ‘relocate’ all these payments, somehow transport people so that they receive pensions and parcels in safer locations”, - he noted.

Ukrposhta stated that someone may have provided the coordinates of the pension distribution point in Yarova.
