"A difficult night for Kyiv. Emergency services are working at the sites of impact as a result of the russian combined strike. Unfortunately, there are victims. At the moment, 4 dead, including 2 children, and more than 20 wounded", — reported Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko on August 28.
According to the mayor of the capital Vitalii Klychko, as of the morning of August 28, 22 residents of Kyiv were injured, 18 of them hospitalized by medics, and four received help on site.
The Kyiv City Military Administration noted that as a result of the enemy attack numerous damages were recorded, there are injured and a fatality.
"We have the consequences of the attack at more than 20 locations in the Darnytskyi, Dniprovskyi, Solomianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Holosiivskyi, Obolonskyi, and Desnianskyi districts. Significant damage in the residential areas of the Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts", — reported the KCMA.
In the Darnytskyi district russians destroyed part of a 5-story building with a direct hit. A rescue operation continues on site, attempts are being made to unblock people, to pull them out from under the rubble. A 9- and a 16-story residential building, a private house, a parking lot, and a kindergarten were damaged.
"In the Dniprovskyi district a 25-story residential building was damaged, a drone hit a yard next to a 9-story building, cars are burning. Here dozens of cars were damaged in several places.
In the Solomianskyi district a private residential building caught fire, the fire has now been localized.
The Shevchenkivskyi district also suffered heavily. Several non-residential buildings, offices, cars of Kyiv residents.
In the Holosiivskyi district in the morning as a result of the attack there were fires at several locations, more than 10 houses with windows blown out, cars damaged.
In the Desnianskyi district in a non-residential zone we also record consequences. There are damages in Obolonskyi as well.
In total across Kyiv the number of damaged objects will again reach a hundred, windows blown out — thousands, a shopping center in the city center was damaged", — noted the KCMA.
