Putin is ready to meet with Zelensky when the meeting has a detailed agenda. This was stated by russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov in NBC’s program Meet the Press, reports BBC.
"This agenda is not ready at all. President Trump, after his meeting [with putin] in Anchorage, proposed several points that we share, and we agreed to show flexibility on some of them", - said Lavrov.
Trump presented these points to Zelensky and European leaders at a meeting in Washington, Lavrov continued.
"There are several key points that, according to Washington, must be accepted, including no NATO membership for Ukraine and discussion of territorial issues. And Zelensky said 'no' to everything", - the minister stated.
"How can we meet with a man who pretends to be a leader?", - Lavrov asked.
The day before, the russian foreign minister also stated that the deployment of Western troops in Ukraine to guarantee Kyiv’s security is unacceptable for russia. According to Bloomberg, his statements jeopardized the negotiations between russia and the US.
