In particular, the russian Ministry of Defense reported that during July it hit “critically important facilities” of the military-industrial complex in the Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts and thwarted an attempt by the Ukrainian authorities, together with European allies, to “organize the production of missile weapons for carrying out attacks deep within the territory of the russian federation”.
In turn, russian FSB specified that strikes were carried out on four enterprises producing “Sapsan” operational-tactical ballistic missile systems — the Pavlograd Chemical Plant, the Pavlograd Mechanical Plant, the Shostka “Zirka” plant, and the Shostka Research Institute of Chemical Products.
Allegedly, the russian security service in 2024 obtained information that, with German financing, “Sapsan” missiles were being produced, intended for strikes deep into russia at a range of 500–750 kilometers. Based on the obtained data, the FSB claims it was possible to “eliminate the technical base for the production of Ukrainian long-range ballistic missiles”.
“The damage to the Ukrainian military-industrial complex from the conducted operation is colossal”, - the russian security operatives declare.
