The russian dictator vladimir putin made this statement to russian media after a meeting with Belarusian dictator alexander lukashenko on August 1.
Putin said that russia formulated its goals for resolving the situation in Ukraine a year ago, and they were voiced during his speech at the russian foreign ministry.
"Russia’s conditions regarding the Ukrainian issue, announced in the summer of 2024, remain unchanged", - putin emphasized.
He also said he views the results of negotiations between russia and Ukraine and the prisoner exchange positively.
Putin also commented on the process of resolving the “crisis” in Ukraine, stating that "if Kyiv believes it’s not yet time to deal with Moscow, then Russia can wait".
The dictator stated that "steps need to be discussed to establish a long-term peace in Ukraine, without any temporary limitations".
As a reminder, in the summer of 2024, putin declared that Ukrainian forces “must be fully withdrawn from the territories of the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia oblasts within their administrative borders”, and that Ukraine must officially announce its refusal to join NATO.
