"Last night, the enemy struck Kyiv with UAVs and missiles. ...Already 48 people have been injured in the capital. 29 of them are in hospitals", - reported the Mayor of Kyiv, Vitalii Klychko, on Telegram at 07:04 a.m. on July 31.
"Unfortunately, we have the first casualty. Rescuers have recovered the body of a woman", - reported the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko. Later, he wrote on Telegram: "The russians have taken the lives of two people".
Later, the KCMA reported that the number of injured in Kyiv had risen to 52, including 9 children.
"At this point, services confirm 6 dead. Of them, 4 in the Sviatoshynskyi district, 2 in the Solomianskyi district. Among the dead is a child, a six-year-old boy. The rescue operation is ongoing", - Tkachenko reported at 07:42.
As a result of the attack in the Sviatoshynskyi district, a part of a residential building was destroyed. Emergency services are working on-site. Fires have also broken out in several non-residential buildings.
In the Solomianskyi district, apartments in several buildings were damaged. Cars caught fire. There are also fires and damage at several non-residential locations.
In the Holosiivskyi district, some buildings were damaged. In particular, a school and a kindergarten.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, the blast wave shattered windows in the children's wing of a medical facility.
