On Monday, July 21, the meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the "Ramstein" format kicked off, with 52 states present at the level of defense ministers or their deputies. This was reported by Radio Svoboda.
Germany and the United Kingdom are presiding over Ramstein. Kyiv is represented by Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal and NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov.
On behalf of the United States, U.S. Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker is participating in the meeting. It is noted that Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth, whose participation had been previously announced, is not present.
