This was reported by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on July 10.
“The ERA initiative we launched jointly with the G7 is working. Since the beginning of the year, Ukraine has already received more than $18.5 billion from frozen russian funds. We are directing these funds toward Ukraine's resilience and ‘rapid recovery’. The ERA initiative is delivering strong results, but we won’t stop here. At URC-2025, we are calling on our partners to join us in creating legal instruments for the full confiscation of all russian assets”, - he noted.
Earlier, Ukraine received about $1.7 billion from Canada under the ERA initiative. These funds were secured through the proceeds from frozen russian assets.
As reported, during the URC Conference in Rome, the creation of a flagship fund for Ukraine’s recovery was announced.
