This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As noted by the General Staff, thanks to the actions of Ukrainian defenders in this direction, as well as in the Kursk direction, about 50,000 russian troops have been concentrated and not redeployed to other threatening areas, particularly Pokrovske or Novopavlivske.
The situation is now stabilized, and the advance of the occupiers has been stopped along the line Yunakivka — Yablunivka — Novomykolayivka — Oleksiivka — Kondrativka — border with the russian federation — bridgehead in the territory of the Glushkovo district, Kursk oblast of the russian federation.
The General Staff reminded that Ukrainian forces have already liberated Andriivka in the Sumy oblast. In addition, fighters advanced in the area of Oleksiivka, pushing the russians further away from Sumy.
It is noted that the russian federation deployed its best brigades in this direction — naval infantry, airborne assault units, the most combat-ready motorized rifle troops, and is actively using long-range artillery, aviation, and strike drones. At the same time, the russians continue attempting to push Ukrainian units out of the Kursk and Belgorod regions.
