As stated by Ukraine’s Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko, overnight russia launched a massive barrage of missiles and drones targeting Kyiv and the oblast.
In Kyiv, the Shevchenkivskyi, Podilskyi, Holosiivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi, and Darnytskyi districts were affected by the strikes.
"The worst consequences are in Shevchenkivskyi. An entire section of a residential multi-storey building was destroyed. As of now, 4 people are dead. State Emergency Service employees rescued 10 injured people. Everyone is receiving medical and psychological assistance. Debris removal is ongoing. According to our data, there are still people trapped under the rubble", - he emphasized.
In Bila Tserkva, residential and medical infrastructure were damaged. One person was killed, and eight were injured.
Two rescuers were injured while responding to the aftermath of the strike.
Emergency services have been on site since the first minutes of the tragedy. Rescue headquarters have been set up. Necessary engineering equipment has been deployed. Rope access specialists are at work.
"Russia has once again demonstrated that the concept of a civilian object means nothing to them. And for us, nothing is more valuable than the life of every Ukrainian", - he emphasized.
