Belarus’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Valentin Rybakov, who took part in the meeting between dictator Lukashenko and the U.S. President’s special envoy Keith Kellogg, shared the nature of discussions on bilateral relations between Belarus and the U.S., BELTA reports.
“Of course, first and foremost, we are discussing the issues of final normalization of bilateral relations — full normalization with the complete restoration of embassy operations in both countries, exchange of visits, etc.”, - said the diplomat.
In addition, one of the priority issues for Belarus is the sanctions agenda. “We constantly emphasize this — the sanctions, which are absolutely illegal. These are unilateral sanctions adopted in violation of all norms of international law. This issue is being discussed and we are trying to find some solutions, some resolutions”, - Rybakov said.
