This was reported by Volodymyr Zelensky on June 3, reacting to the occupiers’ strike on the city.
"Russians brutally struck Sumy. Just hit the city, ordinary streets – with rocket artillery. A completely deliberate strike on civilians. The rescue operation is still ongoing. Many are wounded. As of now, three people are confirmed dead", - the president noted.
He also reported at least one MLRS shell that didn’t explode and pierced the wall of a regular apartment room on the 9th floor.
"This is all you need to know about russia’s so-called ‘desire’ to end this war. Obviously, without pressure from the world, without decisive steps from the United States, Europe, and everyone globally who holds power, putin won’t agree even to a ceasefire. Every day, russia gives more reasons for tougher sanctions and greater support for our defense", - Zelensky emphasized.
