This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, on Facebook following a meeting on the use of unmanned systems.

"I held a monthly meeting on the use and development of unmanned systems with the participation of combat unit commanders. The systematic work on scaling unmanned systems units is yielding real results. Thus, in May, more than 89,000 enemy targets were struck and destroyed with the help of drones of various types", - noted Syrskyi.

He heard an intelligence report on the formation of unmanned systems forces in the russian army and the arrival of new models of UAVs and ground robotic systems into the occupiers' arsenal.

"In particular, the enemy is copying the experience of Ukraine's Defense Forces and is actively scaling its unmanned units. Therefore, we must maintain the pace of development and constantly increase our capabilities to stay one step ahead", - emphasized Syrskyi.

According to him, the number of unmanned systems crews continues to grow, and Ukrainian unmanned units are developing.

"Every drone is a destroyed enemy, and thus a saved life of a Ukrainian soldier. Special focus is on destroying the operators of enemy UAVs and their control points", - Syrskyi stressed.

The meeting also addressed the development of unmanned ground systems. On the battlefield, they perform logistics functions, evacuate wounded soldiers, conduct mining operations, and act as combat modules. Compared to 2024, deliveries of such systems to military units have increased significantly, and training of UGS specialists has been expanded.

"Thanks to all unmanned systems units and every soldier individually for their professional combat work and destruction of enemies. You are on the technological front line of our struggle. The development of technology is the key to the sustainability of the Defense Forces and our advantage over the enemy", - concluded Syrskyi.
