Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan proposed Istanbul as the venue for a new round of negotiations between russia and Ukraine. This was reported by russian media on May 27.
“Turkey is ready to host a new round of russian-Ukrainian negotiations”, - said Hakan Fidan at a joint press conference with russian minister Sergey Lavrov.
Meanwhile, a kremlin representative, responding to a question about the venue for the continuation of talks, stated, “I would once again turn to our Turkish friends—things went very well in Istanbul”.
