As reported on Telegram by the Mariupol City Council, the so-called head of the occupied city, Oleg Morgun, openly admitted that when russian troops blockaded Mariupol, people buried their dead loved ones right in their yards and parks.

According to Morgun, over the past three years, supposedly all the bodies have been reburied, although this does not correspond to reality. Residents still continue to find makeshift graves.

"At the same time, the fake mayor noted that in order to bury all the deceased, they had to create 22 burial sites. Before the start of the full-scale invasion, Mariupol had three functioning cemeteries (Starokrymske, Novotroitske, Vynohradne). Three more were closed. Thus, the occupiers confirm the incredibly high number of Mariupol residents killed due to russia’s massive shelling of residential neighborhoods. Let us remind you that there is no exact number of civilian deaths in the city. Preliminary estimates indicate at least 22,000 people were killed. However, the real number of victims could be several times higher", - the Mariupol City Council states.
