U.S. President Donald Trump wrote on the social network Truth Social that he had completed a two-hour conversation with putin.
"I believe it went very well. Russia and Ukraine will immediately start negotiations toward a Ceasefire and, more importantly, an END to the War", - the American president noted.
According to Trump, the conditions for this will be agreed upon between the two sides as best as possible, because they know the details of the negotiations that no one else will know.
The U.S. president claims that russia wants to engage in “large-scale” trade with the States once this “bloodbath” is over.
"There is a tremendous opportunity for russia to create massive amounts of jobs and wealth. Its potential is UNLIMITED. Likewise, Ukraine can be a great beneficiary on Trade, in the process of rebuilding its Country", - he added.
Trump once again repeated that negotiations between russia and Ukraine "will begin immediately".
