Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, following the negotiations in Istanbul, reported that the possibility of a prisoner exchange in the format of “1000 for 1000” was discussed. This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine.
“We talked about a 1000 for 1000 exchange”, - he said.
Answering a question about the next steps in the negotiation process, Umerov stated that “first of all, we need to handle the prisoner exchange”.
“And after that, we will inform you of what our next steps will be”, - Umerov concluded.
Earlier, media reported that in Istanbul, the russians put forward a number of unacceptable conditions that are unrealistic.
