In the Donetsk oblast, police recorded 2,992 enemy strikes on the front line and residential areas in a single day, according to a law enforcement report on May 16.
“Twenty populated areas came under fire: the cities of Dobropillia, Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Lyman, Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, and the villages of Cherkaskе, Andriivka, Bokove, Zoria, Ivanopillia, Novodmytrivka, Oleksandro-Kalynove, Rai-Oleksandrivka, Svitle, Stavky, Shandryholove, Yablunivka, Yampil”, - police reported.
A total of 103 civilian objects were damaged, 66 of them residential houses. Specifically, it was reported that:
In Oleksandro-Kalynove, the occupiers dropped three KAB-250 bombs — one person was killed, and 15 private homes were destroyed.
Kostiantynivka was attacked with artillery and drones — one civilian was injured, four apartment buildings and two vehicles were damaged.
In Pokrovsk, russian troops injured one person and destroyed an apartment building.
In Novodmytrivka, the enemy dropped three KAB-250 air bombs — a civilian was injured, and an administrative building and two apartment buildings were damaged.
In Andriivka, the Kramatorsk district, an enemy FPV drone injured one person, and vehicles were affected.
One person was also injured in Yampil of the Lyman community and one in Bokove.
In Druzhkivka, the invaders dropped three KAB-250 bombs and launched a drone strike — at least three homes, infrastructure, non-residential buildings, and vehicles were damaged.
In Kramatorsk, a russian drone attacked an enterprise. In Sloviansk, a boarding house was damaged during an enemy strike.
As a result of KAB-250 bomb hits in Ivanopillia, 18 private homes, non-residential premises, and a bus were damaged.
In Rai-Oleksandrivka, an attack by three Geran-2 drones damaged an administrative building and agricultural facilities.
In Shandryholove, part of the Lyman hromada, the russian army shelled with Smerch MLRS — a medical facility was damaged.
As a result of strikes in Lyman, a house was damaged, and in the village of Stavky — one household.
