As stated by Volodymyr Zelensky at a press conference in Turkey on May 15, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will also not attend the negotiations in Istanbul.
"Putin didn’t show up, so there’s nothing for me, the head of the Security Service, or the Chief of the General Staff to do in Istanbul", - said Zelensky.
"If a ceasefire can be achieved without the leaders, there’s no problem", - added the President.
