French President Emmanuel Macron stated that France wants to help Ukraine, which was attacked by russia, while avoiding a third world war. This was reported by the Telegram channel "BILD na russkom".
On the air of the French TV channel TF1, Macron said: “We must help Ukraine defend itself, but we do not want to start a third world war. The war must end, and Ukraine must be in the best possible position to start negotiations”.
In this context, Macron stated that he is ready to discuss the deployment of French fighter jets with nuclear weapons in other European countries. He referred to the United States, which has already stationed nuclear-armed aircraft in Belgium, Germany, Italy, and Turkey.
Macron is ready “to start this discussion” and define the framework for such negotiations “in the coming weeks and months”.
Previously, the French president had already voiced similar proposals, which, however, have not yet found clear support in the EU, the message says.
As reported, Poland and France have signed a mutual assistance pact for the first time in case of an attack.
