This was stated at a briefing on May 1 by U.S. State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce, according to the Telegram channel "Radio Svoboda".
According to Bruce, the time has now come for "direct dialogue between the parties to the conflict".
“We will not be mediators. We will not rush across the world in the blink of an eye to moderate meetings. The work must now be done between the two sides”, - Tammy Bruce emphasized.
However, Washington remains interested in achieving peace and will assist in the settlement — although the U.S. still expects concrete ideas and steps from Kyiv and moscow, Bruce added.
