“A strong signal of support. Today in Kryvyi Rih, there are Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors from dozens of countries around the world. And also – representatives of Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UN and EU missions and agencies. We spoke about the challenges related to the war. About the crimes committed by the aggressor and their consequences”, - reported the head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, on Telegram on April 9.
“12,000 shellings. That’s how many the region has endured in more than three years of full-scale invasion. Every day the enemy directs weapons at peaceful cities and villages, at infrastructure. It brings death and destruction. In our oblast alone – 515 dead. Among them – young men and women whose lives were just beginning. More than 3,000 other residents have been injured”, - Lysak stated.
He said that the diplomats honored the memory of those killed in the April 4 missile strike at the site of the tragedy. The diplomats also inspected the sites of other russian attacks.
The head of the Kryvyi Rih City Military Administration, Oleksandr Vilkul, clarified that 32 ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions had arrived in the city.
Relatives of those killed in the April 4 russian missile strike were present at the events attended by the diplomats.
The UN called the strike on Kryvyi Rih by russia “the deadliest killing of children since the beginning of the war”.
