"The Security Service of Ukraine has gathered new evidence of the criminal activities of russian propagandist Olga Skabeeva, who justifies russia’s war against Ukraine and calls for the seizure of our state. According to the case materials, the subject is part of the kremlin's media pool, which uses her for mass dissemination of information-psychological manipulations in moscow’s interests", - the Security Service of Ukraine reported on its Telegram channel on April 8.
In particular, it was documented that Skabeeva repeatedly called for the capture of Kyiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and other major cities in Ukraine. She also suggested to the command of the occupiers to destroy the energy infrastructure of our country in order to black out entire regions. For this purpose, the subject promoted the use of combined missile and artillery strikes by the rashists on key power-generating facilities, especially during the cold season.
"These and other narratives are regularly promoted by Skabeeva during broadcasts of the program ‘60 Minutes’ on one of the kremlin’s main mouthpieces – the ‘Rossiya-1’ TV channel. Court linguistic examinations initiated by the SSU confirmed the facts of the russian propagandist’s information-subversive activity", - the statement said.
Based on the evidence collected, investigators of the Security Service notified Skabeeva in absentia of suspicion under four articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- Part 3, Article 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine that led to deaths or other grave consequences);
- Part 3, Article 436-2 (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants, committed using mass media);
- Part 3, Article 109 (actions aimed at violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power, committed using mass media);
- Article 436 (war propaganda).
Since the perpetrator is hiding from justice in russia, comprehensive measures are ongoing to bring her to justice.
It was also reported that the SSU announced suspicion against propagandist Vladimir Solovyov.
