Fighting is taking place within the city limits of Vuhledar, where 107 residents still remain. This was reported by the head of the Donetsk Oblast Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, during a national Ukrainian TV news marathon on October 1.
Currently, the area is undergoing mandatory evacuation for families with children from a 10-kilometer zone near the frontline. Almost all children have been evacuated from the frontline areas. The situation in Vuhledar remains extremely difficult. Filashkin emphasized, "There are still 107 people in Vuhledar. It is very hard to reach these people and deliver humanitarian aid or medicine because of the ongoing active phase of the war".
According to him, russian forces are already nearing the city center.
He also mentioned that the humanitarian situation in Toretsk is similarly dire, with around 1,500 people still in the city. Providing aid there is "almost impossible" as the enemy continues shelling all access routes.
