The enemy understands perfectly well that time is on our side. This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, on Telegram on June 17.
"I have been working on the Eastern front for almost a week, in various units holding the most critical defense areas. The nature of the enemy's actions has not significantly changed. In the Kupiansk, Pokrovske, Kurakhove, and Vremivka operational directions, the enemy is conducting active offensive actions of varying intensity, trying to break through our defenses and capture important areas or settlements that impact the stability of our defense. The main efforts are concentrated on the Pokrovske direction, where the majority of their strike brigades and regiments are focused. Intense battles continue in the areas of Hlyboke, Chasiv Yar, Staromaiorske, Robotyne, Krynky, and the islands along the left bank of the Dnipro River", - Syrskyi noted.
"The purpose of my work remains the same: assessing the situation, assisting brigade commanders in organizing combat operations, addressing problematic issues, providing additional weapons and ammunition, and reinforcing with reserves. The enemy understands that with the gradual arrival of significant quantities of weapons and military equipment from our partners, including the first F-16s which will strengthen our air defense, time is on our side, and their chances of success are diminishing", - Syrskyi pointed out.
"Therefore, the russian command is now making every effort to increase the intensity and expand the geography of hostilities to maximize the exhaustion of our forces, disrupt the preparation of reserves, and prevent a transition to active offensive operations. Across the front, from Kharkiv to Krynky, our soldiers demonstrate resilience, courage, patriotism, and most importantly, faith in our victory. Recently, in the Donetsk oblast, a Ukrainian soldier from one of the combat brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine single-handedly captured four russian occupiers. I believe this act is a vivid example of the bravery and high morale of our defenders and deserves to be awarded accordingly", - emphasized the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"I thank him and all other defenders of Ukraine who responsibly fulfill their duties, for their selfless service! Now more than ever, the army needs maximum support from society in all aspects. It is time to unite for our victory! Glory to Ukraine!", - Syrskyi stressed.
