The russian federation is losing up to 24,000 troops per month in the war it started against Ukraine. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said this at the "Civil Dialogue" event on Sunday, reports Ukrinform, citing DW.

"There are figures indicating 24,000 russian soldiers killed or severely wounded each month", - the n-tv channel's website quoted the chancellor.

Scholz emphasized that these losses in the russian army, along with the deaths of many Ukrainian soldiers and civilians, are the result of putin's "imperialist delusions of grandeur".

As reported, according to the General Staff of Ukraine, the total combat losses of russian forces in Ukraine from February 24, 2022, to May 27, 2024, amount to about 502,340 people, including another 1,150 in the past day.
