Speaker of the House Mike Johnson stated that the US should "allow Ukraine to wage war as it sees fit" regarding the use of weapons supplied by the US. This was reported by Voice of America.
"They (Ukraine) should have the ability to fight back. I think our attempts to micromanage this are not the best policy for us", - Johnson said on May 22, responding to a question from Voice of America.
The report notes that in recent weeks, Ukraine has intensified calls for the Biden administration to lift the ban on using US-provided weapons to strike targets within russian territory.
