Organizers of the "russia - Islamic World" forum, scheduled to take place in May in Kazan, have invited representatives of the banned radical religious-political militant movement "Taliban". This information is reported by russian media with reference to the russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
Additionally, the MFA, Ministry of Justice, and other relevant russian agencies are considering the issue of removing the "Taliban" from the list of terrorist organizations.
Russia and the "Taliban" do not have serious problems in their bilateral relations, so moscow wants to stop considering supporters of the movement as terrorists, commented russian diplomat Sergey Ordzhonikidze on the situation.
