As of April 1, practically all the communal and private energy infrastructure of Kharkiv has been destroyed by the russians. This was reported by the mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, in an interview with LIGA.net published on April 1.

"I don't know what the enemy's plan is. Practically all critical energy infrastructure has already been destroyed, including private infrastructure. There was a time when out of a city of almost two million, only 300,000 remained. ...The russians haven't come closer to the city, but they're using new weapons", - Terekhov said.

He emphasized that russia wants to intimidate the city's residents, but this is impossible.

Terekhov also noted that over the two years of the major war, there have been various threats, starting from saboteurs within Kharkiv itself.

"However, nobody is giving up. Our Points of Invincibility work round the clock. After the recent blackout following the shelling, 28,000 residents of Kharkiv came there. Schools provide free meals to people. In a year, 10 million portions of food were distributed. We have survived even more difficult times - we will survive these as well", - Terekhov stated, emphasizing that the situation for the energy industry in the city is very difficult.

Earlier, it was reported that the russians shelled residential areas in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv.
