The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine should become more active in fulfilling its institutional tasks. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated this in an evening video address on March 28th.
"Russia spends billions of dollars annually on operations in countries of their interest. They spread chaos, undermine the work of normal institutions, invest in disinformation, and bribe public and political leaders", - the President said.
According to Zelensky, "this concerns various regions of the planet, sensitive regions - Africa, different parts of Asia. Europe is very vulnerable to destabilization provoked and fueled by the putin system. America, both North and Latin, are also targets of russian intelligence and chaotic activities".
It is obvious, Zelensky noted, that "we cannot match the resources that russia has, especially financial, but Ukrainians are capable of outplaying russia with their courage, determination, and ideas".
"The Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine should become more active in fulfilling its institutional tasks. On the other hand, reliable work of such an organization cannot be cheap, and this is now a task for the government as a whole. The Ministry of Finance needs to search for and find the financial basis for the work of our intelligence, expand funding for specific projects, specific goals, and overall development of the foreign intelligence system", - emphasized the President.
