The Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov appointed Andrey Krishchenko on the position of the deputy head of the National Police of Ukraine - head of the Kiev administration of the National Police, who showed his heroism during the attack by militants on the City Police Department in Gorlovka. "On the basis of the appointment of Khatia Dekanoidze on the positon of the head of the National Police of Ukraine, today I appointed by order of the Minister Andrey Krishchenko on the position of the deputy head of the National Police of Ukraine - head of the National Police in Kiev" - wrote Avakov.

Before the appointment Andrey Krishchenko was the head Kharkov City Department of Police.
